JayFi
I just got a killer deal on a D3 with the Bluetooth and XM NavTraffic modules that I'm planning to install this weekend. Is okay to splice the power wires from the XM and Bluetooth in with the power wire to the D3? Right now the car has a Pioneer headunit and XM tuner using the same power wire off of the factory harness (Crutchfield tech support said that the XM box didn't draw too much power so it would be fine), but I want to make sure that adding the bluetooth doesn't create any negative effects. If it doesm where do you recommend tapping in for power?
Dane186
Grab all your power from behind the radio, that way if one goes out, they all go out, and you know its the fuse. On a related note, your fuse for your radio in the car is prolly 20 amps. The D3 uses around 2-5 depending on volume. So you get the idea.
