robbieg Posted June 20, 2008 Report Share Posted June 20, 2008 I am getting ready to install a D3 in a 2003 Lincoln Town Car. Does anybody know were to find the VSS wire. Also is the dimmer wire in the harness or do I need to find it somewhere else? And last it has the optional Alpine system, will I get any popping at start up, do I need a 5v regulator for the amp signal or is it OK as is. Thanks for any help. VSS is on the PCM drivers side fire wall pin # 68 gray with black stripe wire. Parking lights for dimmer is in the passenger side harness running along the floor under the kick plate. It is solid brown. Also the reverse light wire is in the same spot it is black with a pink stripe. And you do not need the 5v voltage regulator. There is no popping with it wired straight.
