soundguydave Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 Took a road trip this weekend and noticed a weird issue. Randomly, the D3 would seem to power off, the music would shut off for 3-4 seconds, and then come back. The navigation would be off for almost a minute and a screen would come up telling me not to remove the disc. When the map would come back, it'd be off by about 40 miles and take another minute to catch back up. The unit has worked pefectly for over a year. Any ideas? boosteddub1969 Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 You have a short in your 12v power supply to the unit. It's losing power and as a result it's settings too. Check your 12V constant (yellow wire) and your 12V accessory (red wire). Make sure your connections are good. If they were crimped, then solder them. Good luck. BTW...I have an '07 2.0T Jetta.
