superjet
Is there sound on CD or XM? If not, you have a amplifier in the vehicle, which needs to be hooked up to blue/white on the deck, not blue.
Aoe_99
You have to use the pioneer cable. It uses the RCA cables for sound and video, not the USB cable.
Vorian
You can also use Apple's composite iPod video cable. The regular PC sync cable is not good enough.
F-150Nut
Can anyone confirm that you have to have the Pioneer Cable or the Composite Apple Cable? I'm having the same problem. It's driving me nuts. But other than that, I haven't had one problem with my unit. It's a little slow on start up, but can usually do everything within a minute. HELP! I need my IPOD! davidcott
I had the same problem, the installer forgot to connect the Pioneer cable to the head unit. We connected the three cables and it works fine.
HiFiSi
You need to use the Pioneer cable. Because the ipod interface only uses the USB connection to control and charge the ipod. It sends all the audio and video signals though the AV input.
