How to Fix Black Screen problem

Recommended Posts

I have Avic-D1 and I had problems with screen (everything works but screen was only black). Maybe there was some text but i couldn`t see what it was.

- You need Service manual for fixing this (http://www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/ ... IC-D1.html)

- You need also some solder skills

- also you need to know how to measure resistanse

Open AVIC

-> Remove System unit (see manual)

-> On the system unit is black light fuses (below) (see manual)

measure Fuse FU1821, if resistanse is near 0 -> OK (bigger problem)

If Resistanse is infinity -> change fuse or sold it fogether

There is also few other fuse on System unit (both sides), you can also measure those components easily ( Fuses are FU xxxx ), if 1820 wasn`t broken.

If you have black screen problem, this may helps you. This helps me.

thnx.

I just recently bought a car and am having this same problem.

The buttons etc work and the screen can kind of be seen when the sun is directed on it a certain way but just very lightly.

The touch screen still works etc. I tried holding the reset button which just

reseted all the settings it seems however screen still cant see anything.

Was that the same problem you were having?

It could be same problem (screen Fuse problem).

In my case touch screen works fine but no matter what you do it`s all the time black (no colors and lighs).
