dashtwo
thought i would revive this issue. This is very annoying! If you tap the map to bring up the "pan and tilt" buttons it creates this red "selection cursor" and the map will no longer track. If i press the map button to get rid of the cursor, then the map tilts back down and i lose my simulated 2D track up. argh! i really like this unit (700) especially for the price, but man the little things are starting to add up. basstoy
I hate that cross hair also
ScottyP
yeah that crosshair is helpful sometimes but mainly just real annoying. I mean its cool if you wanna like select a place or adress or something but its not very functional lol
skicrave
I hate those crosshairs. I think there's probably a way to get rid of them in the map UI, since I've never used them.
S4
How about just making a blank transparent image and replacing the crosshairs with it.
ScottyP
you could but it would still change the navi. it would pull up the information that was selected and give details about it and would change the look of the map just instead of being crosshairs it would just be an unseeable selector
skicrave
I could care less about having to look at them on the map, it's the functionality change when they're active that pisses me off.
ScottyP
lol well thats what im saying it would just remove the crosshair ot what happens when you select something on the map
CatchMeIfYouCan631
I don't want to make the crosshair transparent. It serves its purpose when i need it to do whatever, but for example when I delete a route, a crosshair will pop upon the destination I just deleted. Sometimes when I press MAP, the crosshair is on a random location. It's not the most annoying thing in the world for me, but it does get on my nerves here and there. S4
Well I'm not following then. I guess I never noticed what you are describing or it didn't bother me enough to notice it.
