I think you will lose some NavTraffic functionality with the older version as well. I would recommend just downloading the most recent versions of both East and West. Search the forum, you should be able to find both instructions on how to get into the service menu to downgrade software and also where to find the latest East and West discs (release date May 07, I believe).
