diranged
It seems like wheenver I hit GOOG-411, the unit dials some 425 #. It's Goog 411, but it seems like the wrong area code. Anyone else see anything like this?
No Seriously
i doubt anyone would reply to this as your request is faaar to vague. What unit? Connected I assume to what phone? How are you 'asking' it to dial? I don't have mine yet but I'm sure with this info you're closer to getting an answer of some sort.
diranged
Sorry, the F90BT unit connected by bluetooth to my iPhone (first gen, 2.0 software) using the 'GOOG-411' icon in the Phone screen.
bwolfe
Mine dials a 425 number also, I live in Tacoma and were 253, but when I call my voicemail it dials a 425 number too. 425 is the eastside of Seattle.
Troskey
mine does the same thing...425 areacode... F90BT... asking it to dial from the phone screen on the unit...
diranged
Anyone have time to call Pioneer and ask whats up? I get the feeling that someone at the factory programmed in some wrong-#...
Jascias
I had reported this to Pioneer some days ago, and today I actually got a call from them. They said the 425 number is not a mistake but is the number that google requested for the system. They explain that it is a collect number and there is no charge. So any one know what a collect number is????
ryan420
a collect number mean u pay for the call i think...not a toll free number
bobsyouruncle
Actually, a "collect" call means the person you are calling pays for it. Don't any of you have any trouble-making friends? (Edit - Meaning friends that get in trouble. Of course we all have trouble making friends, why else would be posting on a damned pioneer fan forum on a Friday evening.... sorry, couldn't resist) Am I the only one who has gotten the "You have a collect from drunk buddy at the such and such county jail. Will you accept the charges?" call at 3 am on a Tuesday night?

whitedaze
My unit tries to dial the 415 area code, and I'm in Toronto, Canada- does anyone know for sure if it is actually a collect call? The last thing I want is a bunch of long distance calls to the US on my bill... Additionally, is there a way to edit the number GOOG-411 uses, such as theri 1-800 instead? michaelharvey101
I recently heard of Justdial, a 24x7 operator-assisted toll-free concierge service. I dialed 1800-500-0000 to try the service, and was amazed when a human voice answered my query within 60 seconds. Justdial really delivered what they promised.
