  1. hmmm, Maybe HI FI SI will have to weigh in on this one... I have not installed said unit and from what I gathered the MSN signal is pulled from the AM FM antenna. Does the 500 have an input or connection for a radio antenna? NS
  2. It's an American International FMK552 kit. Set it to the 2nd setting and it fits perfectly. The plastic piece that the stereo holds onto is what you have to cut. You have to cut about 1/2 inch on the top to make room for the Double din. It really didnt take more then 10 minutes with a dremel. right on thanks for the tip! It was the only thing keeping my lazy ass from going down and buying and AVIC and whacking it in, well that and the thousand bucks...lol. Cheers!
  3. Is your FM and AM all good? That antenna is where the MSN signal is brought into the reciever. Failing that have you checked the MSN website to make sure wherever you are is in the service area? NS.
  4. Hey Jec, What dash kit did you use to trim out the HU? I have an '02 Harley F150 with the same DIN and half dash and wondered how much cutting you had to do to get her in there? I know it's not toooo bad but yours looks good and thats what I want.
  5. i doubt anyone would reply to this as your request is faaar to vague. What unit? Connected I assume to what phone? How are you 'asking' it to dial? I don't have mine yet but I'm sure with this info you're closer to getting an answer of some sort.

  7. Taken from a press release announcing the approval of HD radio in Canada.: "Using the HD Radio technology, existing AM and FM stations can broadcast digital signals along with the analog, providing multiple channels of programming on the same frequency, known as “multicastingâ€. In addition to allowing for programming expansion via these multicasts, the technology’s developer, iBiquity Digital Corp., says that HD Radio provides improved sound quality over analog service. It can also allow for other neat options, like scrolling text and graphics content on the display of a receiver
