ridelikeme
My rear amp is shot. I recently installed an AVIC D3 and i can not get my rear speakers to work. I have tried to bypass the amp but its still not working. The remote turn on is wired correctly as my amp is getting power from both the main power line as well as the remote line. here are my wiring pics, please chime in if you see a misplaced wire. im 2002.5 symphony non-bose

HiFiSi
Why does it matter if the amp is turning on or not if it's shot? Are you trying to bypass the amp all together? If so, you don't want it powering up. What you need to do is see what color the wires are on the car's radio harness that corespond to the speaker output wires on the radio. Then go to where the amp is, and find those same wires (before the go into the amplifier and extend them to the speakers. Or you could just run all new speaker wire from the head unit to the speakers.
iviuzzy
in my audi i used the metra 70-1787 harness. you need to wire the front speakers, which get power from the hu, and the rear has RCA's on the harness they are reen and purple.... plug those in and make sure the amp turn on is connected, i never had a problem.
