  1. pm me your email. ill send you the page in a pdf proba bly after work 4ish?
  2. i just pulled the bezel off on a car that was traded in an 05 with low milage. it came right off. i used a tiny screw driver so it didnt indent the plastic on the dash. once it started i put my hand back and pulled straight off. good luck. if i get a chance ill send the page from the Factory service manual to you if interested
  3. metra part number Metra 70-7302 circuit city sells metra. call them give them the part number. i beleive best buy sells metra too.
  4. i know on the exlporers. you just pull the whole bezel straight out towards you. there are just pins that hold the radio in. i doubt the mountianeers are that different. just dont pull out too far because you need to disconnect the wires. i can check at work tomorrow to be exact for you. there should be 2 screws on the bottom of the radio holding it in.
  5. make sure the wires have good insulation around the connectors. use electrical tape liberally or shrink wrap over the solder joints. wire strands could be touching making noises.
  6. ah crap i saved the page instead of favorites. i have an entire diy saved from a jetta. if you want it pm me and ill attach it to you/email it. its somewhere on vw vortex. anyways pull out the little trim piece from below the instrument cluster. and remove the 2 torx screws holding in the cluster. pull out the cluster and there are 2 wiring connectors, blue and green. on the blue connector you are looking for a blue wire in a white stripe. thats the vss wire. connect the pink wire from the d3 to that.
  7. i got it to work. for the gps i cut my d3 antenna and i spliced into the fakra wire to go to my sharkfin. my xm antenna plugged right in to the tuner once i ripped the fakra connection off
  8. you can tap into the oem sharkfin antenna. above your rear windshield pull off the trim piece. there should be 4 fakra connectors: Blue= gps red/pink = GSM/Cellphone/Onstar/Telematics white = sat tuner either xm or sirius(satallite signal) black = sat tuner either xm or sirius (terrestrial) the dealer part numbers are measured in meters for length, it is an fakra extension wire: 1M = 000-098-652 2M = 000-098-653 3M = 000-098-654 4M = 000-098-655 5M = 000-098-656 6M = 000-098-657 7M = 000-098-658 the fakra should fit into the sat tuner, if not u can pull it off wit

  10. acc is located above clutch(assuming u have one). remove knee bolster and in the taped loom above clutch acc will be thick black wire. it is the same in automatic however above where clutch would be.... vss is in kick panel on drivers side if u have a wire in pin 13, blue and white that is it. otherwise u need to tap into abs control mod under hood. as for illum. i got it from the headlight switch. turn it to "O" push in til it clicks, and turn clockwise, grey and blue wire.
  11. on my a4, which is similar... i had to get illumination from headlight switch itself(turn it to the off position "O" push in til it clicks and turn clockwise) the wire is grey/blue. as for vss i had to get it from the abs module under the hood. pm me if u need any other help.
  12. drivers kick panel, pin 13 blue and white wire.... check audizine.com
  13. in my a4 i had to go under the hood. Next to the firewall under a cover on the right hand side(if you are facing the car). The abs control module(has a bunch of brake lines coming from it, you cant miss it). There is a yellow wire and a black wire twisted together, yellow is vss.
