Blazeman
Whats the band at the top of my radio? There is a box and a bar at the top, is there something I am missing?
HiFiSi
Look around before posting... there's a search function. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16717&highlight=boxes http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17038&highlight=boxes Also, try to resize your pics next time. That thing is gigantic. There's no reason for it to be that big... especially if it's going to be such bad quality anyway lol.
Blazeman
Thanks I'll look around more next time. I had no idea that those were the blue boxes everyone was talking about. Also sorry about the size of the pic and the quality, it was taken on the fly with a camera phone...
HiFiSi
Wow... that's pretty friggin' huge for a camera phone!
VBLUE42
Not for an iphone.
HiFiSi
Well you'd think that instead of making it take huge pics with poor quality, they'd make it take smaller pics with good quality.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Well you'd think that instead of making it take huge pics with poor quality, they'd make it take smaller pics with good quality. wel that's one thing apple and pioneer have in common...bad design choices. Julius
Looks like it's a 1.3 Mb pic. and somehow it blew up and resulted in a lower resolution.
Stephanie
FWIW I think the problem is the manufacturers push for more megapixels because that's what the public think they want... but without a quality lens, all you're doing is taking a poor photo and making a high-resolution version of it. My Sony Ericsson has a 2MP camera and takes poorer pictures than a 1.3MP camera I had several years ago. The difference is, the camera had a quality lens, the phone has junk. On the other hand, the camera couldn't make phone calls... so it's a tradeoff.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
well is there any phone out there that takes camera quality pictures? every one ive had always have a somewhat blurry shot
HiFiSi
Not really... my motorolla/nextel i880 takes kinda good pictures. It's 2 megapixels, and comes out pretty clear at times. Well... I guess those are pretty big too. I never actually looked at my phone's pics full sized on a computer before lol.
skicrave
Sony and Nokia both have some phones that take high quality 5MP images. They're just not mainstream in America because they're GSM only, and haven't been picked up by any carriers here.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
i hear ya. this is about as good as my env gets its a clear shot but its still a bit blurry. if i go any bigger the resolution diminishes
