skicrave
When placing a call with my iPhone 3G, I don't ever hear the phone ring through the F-Series. The music mutes, but it is completely silent until the other person answers the phone. Other iPhone users, do you have the same issue? Other Phone users, is this how your phone works also? Stephanie
I've only made a couple calls, but now that you mention it, I don't think I've heard the phone ring. It's more like silence, then click and someone is there. I'm using a SE w610i (GSM) handset.
skicrave
Hmm, so sounds like it's phone independent. I find that I often don't even hear the other person say hello the first time. Sounds like this one is a bug pending more information.
Stephanie
I wonder if it is a quirk of the way GSM phones work? If I look at my phone, it doesn't show the call as connected until the other party picks up. I'll hear ringing of course in the earpiece but the GSM system won't log the call as connected till they pick up the phone... I don't know where the ringing sound comes from though, if that's generated inside the handset or if it actually comes from the phone company. So maybe that's the source of the bug; that the nav unit doesn't connect the audio until after the phone signals that the call has connected.
Giessen
I'm experiencing the same problem with my HTC Touch Diamond which is a Windows Mobile based system. Hope we can fix this annoying issue...

Lunar-Eclipse
My phone rings every time I call out. Moto Krzr K1 on T-mobile (GSM phone if anyone's wondering). It looks like a lot if the phone issues we're having are phone dependent.
Bolt
I only hear the phone ring when I dial from my phone. If I dial out through the F-series or call from the contact list, I do not hear any ringing. I have a blackberry 8800 phone. I have already turned my bluetooth off. It frustrated me more than I enjoyed it. Too many bugs/issues.
VBLUE42
Has this problem corrected itself for anyone else. Mine still wont ring. The funny thing is, I swear at first when I got my unit it did every time. And then the other day it rang while making a call, but only once.

skicrave
I just noticed mine ringing the other day. I figured it was due to the 2.0 update, so hopefully it's a permanent fix.
scotty3x3
I have a 700BT and the iPhone 3G. I hear the phone ringing when I call from the handset or the stereo.
VBLUE42
Well glad to know it works for some, doesn't for me though.
lsdlls07
I have the Sprint Mogul and it rings fine. I made sure I set the ringer low and mute for music. I know the yellow black wire is for additional muting for an additional parrot bluetooth module so its not that.
