AVIC N4 and IPOD NANO 3rd Gen

Recommended Posts

I have done a lot of reading on this site about this topic. whtcrxghst has been the guy answering these questions the most. He has said that any Ipod will play music via the CD I200 cable, but the video wont play due to the Apple chip issue. I have the N4, the I200 cable, and a 3rd gen Ipod Nano with the lastest version 1.1.3. The N4 recognizes that the Ipod is plugged in and the Ipod will charge. But no music can be played. My wifes older 2nd gen Ipod nano, pre video capability, works just fine for music. When plugged in to the cable, "Pioneer" is displayed on the screen of the Ipod itself. With my nano I get nothing. No music. No nothing. Anyone else have this problem and/or an answer? Thanks.
