JStirfry Posted August 29, 2008 Report Share Posted August 29, 2008 I'm looking to purchase an AVIC Z1 unit for a much reduced rate than a Z2 or Z3 and then buy a hard disk that has the updated Z3 software on in to install in the Z1 frame? Does anyone know if this can be done? If so, will I essentially end up with the same off the shelf product as a Z3? The reason I'm asking is becuase if I can do it this way I figured I will end up saving over a grand in product cost off the bat. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
