NickyD32
now this probably can't be done... but would it be at all possible, without some serious hacking, to change the black background to whatever we want? and change the colors of the buttons or something to match? or am i getting ahead of myself? Bman69
see as how things have been going i'm fairly certian we can change the backgound of the whole unit i'll try to find if theres an image for it but if it just uses a hexcode color then we might not be able to put an image there... but lets hope
Bman69
ok i have changed my background now to here are some pics note that it doesnt change the background on the AV menu aka AM,FM,IPOD,XM that menu :/ i'll try to figure that one out too though ok its located in the image.res as well as everything else i've found so open image.res with 7zip and its Image.res\Image\Common\746_32K_MN-000_24b.bmp
HiFiSi
Does it effect the display on a source screen, like ipod or CD or whatever? I'd test it myself, but my F90 is currently pulled out of my car. My 10 year old amplifier finally died a sizzling smoky death and I'm running some tests on it to make sure it didn't fry my preouts. (So far, it's looking good!)

CatchMeIfYouCan631
The background shouldn't affect any source screen. on the iPod screen for example, the wheel and info box are their own layers and sit on top of the background so any change to the background will not affect it. My 10 year old amplifier finally died a sizzling smoky death... send it my condolences
computermodman
So has anyone actually changed thier background successfully? How im sick of looking at blank black all over unit.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Yes. APL Image.res, extract it with 7zip, it's the first .bmp file in the AV directory.
