insert correct disk error in nav.

I have 2 avic n2 head units and both of them on both disks I have say insert correct disk. anyone have an idea what might be going on? Also neither deck will show video from my dvd changer, got audio but no video, any ideas there?

Is there a way to clear out the old nav info or something, reseting deck?

Your hosed. Once you upgrade you cannot go back (sort of). In other words you cannot upgrade, then go back.

 

There has been some success in downgrading a secret service menu. If you look around you will find the post on how to access this menu, and perform the downgrade.

yea I found it, but not having any luck with it. guess I gota just break down and buy a new disk. Here it is if anyone needs it.

HOLD RESET AND EJECT

SCROLL DOWN TO NUMBER 6-PROGRAM FORCED WRITE (OK)

FIND NUMBER 1 SYSTEM PROGRAM (INSERT DISK --CNDV 40/50/60?)

PRESS 1 SYSTEM PROGRAM (OK)

SELECT 2 DVD/CD ROM (OK)

SELECT LANGUAGE… (ENGLISH)

PRESS (VIEW –POS) BUTTON

SHOULD SEE SYSTEM PROGRAM GOING UP IN %

 

WHEN FINISHED PRESS (BACK)

FIND NUMBER 6 PROGRAM FORCED WRITE AGAIN (OK)

NUMBER 3 APPLICATION PROGRAM (OK)

SELECT 2 DVD/CD ROM (OK)

SELECT 1 UK ENGLISH...THEN PRESS (VIEW – POS) BUTTON

SHOULD SEE SYSTEM GOING UP IN %

 

WHEN FINISHED PRESS (BACK)

TEST MODE PAGE 1

SELECT 6 - CLEAR BACK UP MEMORY (OK)

SHOULD SAY FINISHED THEN ASKS FOR RESET BUTTON TO BE PRESSED

PRESS RESET ON FRONT OF UNIT

 

START SAT NAV AGAIN

 

ASKES FOR LANGUAGE PRESS NO (READ TEXT)

I am having the same problem. At first I was using an ebay nav disc then all of a sudden when I went to use it again it was not working. I called pioneer service and the tech sent me a new nav disc. It worked just fine. Now i went to use it and it's having the same problem. I kept my discs in my cd visor holder. I live in texas and it has had some 100+ dayes here and my car sat in the sun. maybee that messed up my discs.

I found an original pioneer n50 disk, used the above message and it worked perfect. Now I cant get my upgrade disk to run though, is there a way to get that going? I forget if I had to do something special the first time I put it in.
