ReedH
Does anyone know the part number for the N-1 Head unit mounting bracket with screws. I originally bought my unit off e-bay and the guy didn't send me the mounting bracket with the head unit. I want to order it from Pioneer but don't know the part number. I want to screw it into the head unit holder so that it will be a little harder for a theif to just pull it straight out. Thanks in advance for any help!
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Usually you can mount an aftermarket deck with OEM brackets, all you have to buy is the dash kit, if that's even necessary. What kind of vehicle?
ReedH
I have a Ford F-150 Super Crew 2008. I have the dash mounting kit you buy from the store to fit the deck in the dash, fits in there just fine, i just want to secure it in there so it doesn't go anywhere. CatchMeIfYouCan631
Im sorry but I dont see how mounting brackets will prevent a thief from stealing it. If you can be more descriptive of what you're looking to do. until then though.. There's a certain screw that my father showed me once, it's called a security screw. In a nutshell, its a screw that can't be unscrewed. You can use them for your mounting hardware and no thief will get your unit. You can get them at any hardware store if you'd like to look into them http://www.securityfasteners.net/ClutchHead.htm
ReedH
I don't care about security as much as keeping the head unit from sliding into the dash. But it would be a little bit of security to put in the side brackets. I don't want to put in a "security" screw that I can't take out if I want to switch the unit to another car. I have attached a picture from the N1 installation manual to show you what I want to do. All I want to know is what the part numbers are to install it this way. Or if anyone has spare parts I will gladly accept those also.
GnatGoSplat
Screws are BMZ20P030FZK. Brackets are CND2816. You can price them at parts.pioneerelectronics.com. You're looking at over $40 shipped.
ReedH
Do I have to order 2 Brackets and 4 screws or do i order one of each and it comes with 2 brackets and 4 screws?
GnatGoSplat
My service manual doesn't say, but I have a feeling you'll have to order them all individually.
