I'm upgrading the turbo timer on my car and want to relocate the mic. It's currently sitting next to the existing turbo timer on my steering column cover but looking for a cleaner placement. dz Posted October 14, 2008 Report Share Posted October 14, 2008 I got a lot of wind noise when I had my mic by the rearview mirror on my 05 Subaru. That is also where my radar detector is mounted and it would scare the crap out of the people I was talking to when it went off. I found that the top of the A-Pillar worked best for me (niether place works when the windows are down) and ended up molding in and color matching an old tweeter grille to hide the microphone...
