HiFiSi
Does the ipod work correctly when not plugged in to the D3? Have you tried plugging another ipod into the D3 to see if it's the ipod or the D3/ipod cable that's not working correctly?

I dont know anyone else with a d3 otherwise Id love to try hopefully its just the cable...

HiFiSi
If no sound comes out on that F-series unit it's either because he didn't hook up the RCA cable part of the ipod cable or hasn't gone into the menu and switched the AV1 input to ipod.
turborsx
Got it to work, I pulled it apart again. When I pulled the cable off I notic some of the pins were pushed back I pulled them out with a pair of nose pliers and it works perfect now, thanks for the help everyone. whitewabbit
I guess I am gonna try the same thing now too. Its just a pain to pull apart a VW dash. (just my luck too. I should have tested before I put it all back together) I tried both a v1.3 and a v1.2.1 5G ipod on mine. I still get the Error-11.
