Slammed01
Whats up, Im new to the forum! I currently have a Alpine W505 but I was thinking about switching to the AVIC F90BT. Seems as if everyone has good reviews about the bluetooth and NAVI. How fast is the song searching on the F90? My alpines is fast for scrolling to find a song. i want to put all my music prob like 2,000 or so songs on an ipod and carry that instead of CD's. Thanks guys!
wonderdiva
Definitely faster than the D3. They added a search by alphabet feature this go around... also, keep in mind that if you use the VR cataloging then you can use the voice recognition to play whatever album artist, genre or playlist that you would like. HiFiSi
Yeah, the ipod interface on this thing is pretty much perfect. Fast, easy, and user friendly.
fiction520
I have the 700bt and I personally feel that the ipod scrolling is slow. I have another vehicle with a single din pioneer cd player and scrolling is much faster. So coming from that I might be a bit spoiled. My suggestion is to go to your local CC or BB and tell them you want to see how your ipod interfaces with the unit. At my local CC they were able to hook my iphone up behind the boards so I could test it out.
Slammed01
Will it support the 5 or 6 gen 80 or 120 gig ipods also? Thanks!
wonderdiva
Yes, should support the newest iPods.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Coming from a former Z series owner, the searching is fast. you can search by first letter of the artist/album/song and the response time is quick
