about Z2 bypass

Recommended Posts

I see everyone talking about how to do the bypass. however I have searched all over the board and I haven't seen specifically what the bypass does.

I had a Z2 installed by a shop near me and he told me they did the bypass. however I'm not sure if they did the bypass correctly.

I am able to enter addresses, search for addresses, and dial phone numbers while I am stopped. as soon as I begin to move though I get locked out and i can only continue when I come to a stop. I told the shop this and they said thats how it is. but i personally don't believe them because I had to take my car in to get other stuff fixed because they didn't wire it correctly. also in my previous car I had an eclipse headunit which I wired my self and I could use all the functions whenever I wanted and I was never locked out of them, thats what makes me think they did the bypass incorrectly

so basically my question is did the shop do the bypass correctly and I'm supposed to be locked out when moving? or did they do it wrong and I should be able to perform all the functions all the time not only when I'm stopped?
