POI QUESTIONS

So yesterday was my first real day with the 700bt....I might trade it for the 90b as MSN is giving a $200 rebate, so a price wash?

 

Anyway, I was looking for a gas station on my route. How do I find nearest one. I hit POI, gas stations, and about 25 brand name labels appeared, like citgo, essso, etc, all in alphabetical order. That was useless to me...how do I find CLOSEST ONE, without wading through each one listed in alphabetical order?

 

There is gotta be a way.

I hate only north up in 2d. Can't a hacker fix that?

I had that problem too. Although not very intuitive, click EDIT on the entire gas station POI (unless you want specific station) and it will bring up a menu where you can turn on the POIs for that category.

Just for clarification... the F series WILL list POI's by distance, correct? I've played around with it before at Circuit City and Best Buy and could have sworn that it does.

The correct answer, actually, is select Gas stations POI category, and hit the SEARCH button on the bottom, under the brand list. Domn't enter a name in the screen that pops up, and hit done. You get all nearby gas stations, sorted by distance.

If Boris is correct, which I do not doubt, why does Pioneer make such a hard format to discover? Who in the world would have figured this out??

 

How do we compile all these changes and send to Pioneer?

It looks like they had two interns code the skin for iGO Navi software in the unit, and they did not do a very good job...
