jamesdandy
Hi: I am about to do my install this week. Is there any reason to hook up the reverse wire if I am not planning on a back up camera or anything along those lines? I was wondering if I need to get the additional harness to simplify the VSS & reverse wiring, but if it is only the VSS (parking brake hardware bypass), then I don't need to spend $60, and simply run a wire to the BMC. I am installing a F90BT into a 2008 Sierra. Thanks, Jimbo
superjet
A good retained accessory power is also difficult to find in those trucks, not to mention if you have bose or onstar. Just get the proper module.
jamesdandy
I have a Scosche GM21SR which gives me the RAP & all onstar features and factory chimes, I was wondering if I needed a NAV adapter (VSS, reverse, e-brake, additional RAP - i.e. the GMLNAV). I know where to connect the VSS, so the only reason to get the NAV interface would be for the reverse wire, hence the post here. Sorry I didn't make that clear in the original post. Thanks, Jimbo
interplay
I have not hooked up my reverse wire and my unit seems to function fine. If I ever hook it up, will let you know.
