Can't access phonebook through voice command

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to access the phonebook using the Z1's voice command, but it doesn't seem to work. Every time I say "Phonebook" or "Telephone Book" the system thinks for a second, then quits to the map screen.

I'm able to access the phonebook by navigating the menus, just not through voice commands.

Is this a bug in the software or am I doing something wrong?
Yeah, I tried saying "Call" and then "Phonebook"...still no luck.

Ducatiboy, I have your circuit installed, yet I've always had this issue with the voice command.

Thanks for the input.
'

it only works if your not in map mode.....try it when your in av mode, like on FM or AM, or the CD Library...

I think it's a software problem...

here's how it works on mine....

I'm in say FM mode, NOT MAP MODE...

I say call....

and it comes back with something...

I say 'Phone book' and it pops up the phone book.

it'll only work in av mode....how stupid is that?

Cool, thanks for the tip niteone! I'll try it out.

Yeah, it is pretty stupid on Pioneer's part. It seems like they cut a LOT of corners when designing the Z1. You would think they'd actually TEST their own product before selling it!
