envoyavic
Does anyone know if there is a way to get the XM navtraffic to work with the AVIC 700BT. Or if you can add the MSN Direct tunner.
skicrave
This is more of a hacks/mods question than anything else. Had you done a little searching you would have found that the F-Series does not support NavTraffic in any way. Additionally, the F700 does not have the hardware required to receive MSN direct data, so in short, no it is not possible to add traffic info or any other MSN data to the F700. counterfeit1204
the f700 does support msn, fyi can anyone confirm this plz???
arock
Yeah, it will do the msn stuff. As far as I know, the only major difference between the 700 and 900 is dvd player in the 900. Not sure on the minor differences tho.
mnrivera210
Actually the 700bt DOES NOT support MSN Direct. Only the 9xx series support it.
ccrobin
Actually the 700bt DOES NOT support MSN Direct. Only the 9xx series support it. Anyone know if it is possible to add the MSN tuner via a hack? I presume the f900 & f700 share the same logic board, as I am told the DVD player mechanism from the f900 can be placed in a f700 - and the f700 will then play DVD's. Is the MSN tuner just a "plug-in" piece of hardware to the main logic board? If so (and if we can find the part number for the MSN tuner module) we should be able to upgrade the f700s (and maybe the f500's) to have the MSN services too.
