markostilo
What would happend if i do all that with EU firmware 1.9 on US unit???
nbdew002
Just an update the first time i did it, it actually did not work. Thank god i did a backup of "my flash drive" before i did most of my mods. Reinstalled it and my unit came back but still had some mods that were slowing it down. SO i decided to try this one more time. Things you need: 2gb SD card Laptop/PC Steps: 1.)copy the Igo folder on your actual Avic unit MyFlash/APL2 2.)Move this folder onto you computer. (You will need the space) 3.)Put the testmode and Metacap folders on SD 4.)Also put the LPUE080 5.)Put the card with the above files in your Avic and start it up. 6.)Go back to the My flash Drive and (DELETE ALL FILES)even after selecting all and deleting, two popped up on me but i went back re-selected these and deleted them 7.)navigate back to the Storage Card 8.)Open the LPUE080 folder 9.)go to LPUE080/APL/find the application that say "UPDATE" 10.)double click or hit run 11.)goes through the regular update process(takes like 10 mins) 12.)Unit restarts and is still in testmode 13.)Remove SD (but make sure your car is still running and in testmode) 14.)Put SD card in computer and delete ALL FILES 15.)now copy back the Igo file which you moved to your computer in step 1 16.)now put your sd card in your avic(which is still running and in testmode) 17.)go to storage card 18.)select the Igo file and cut it 19.) No go back and open My Flash/APL2 and select the old iGo file and delete it. 20.)Now copy and paste the iGo file which you cut from your storage card and paste it in the APL2 folder 21.)Close out of windows and shut off car 22.)remove SD 23.)start back up and finish the TTS part of the upgrade. !!!!!!!!!YOU'RE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!! nbdew002
What would happend if i do all that with EU firmware 1.9 on US unit??? Dont know im sure if you have a back-up of your originial iGO file before your mods, it should go the same. I havent kept up with EU upgrade but if there is on and you have those files. Give it a whirl!

sy628109
I've asked this elsewhere but never received a response: Why do you need to load the original iGo folder back on after the update? I know my problem is stemming from that folder, wouldn't I just be reloading the problem on there if I put it back? Thanks.

I know my problem is stemming from that folder, wouldn't I just be reloading the problem on there if I put it back? Thanks. The new files that come in the update dont have the full igo file which will make your Avic unit work. This is why it was stressed and very important that yo copied your actuall igo file before you sart mods.
sy628109
sounds good, I am going to give it a shot......I am having the ezrider.exe problem, hopefully it works if I overwrite the existing corrupt ezrider file and put my original back on there. Thanks
mndonbills
I seem to have lost my button sounds after following the instructions above. Not a big deal really. They are loud and annoying. Just makes you wonder if something else is missing. I thought it fixed my rebooting problem but no go.
Geordo
i suspect my igo folder may be the source of some of my issues, that being the case, is there anywhere to acquire a complete copy of the igo folder i so desperately need? going to try backing up what i have and see if it works. but, assuming that doesn't help, do i have any options short of calling up buddy and stealing his unmolested igo folder from his identical deck (problem is he lives 4 hrs away)
Geordo
oooh man. i got this poor f90bt in rooough shape. tried to do this re update dealy. annnd no dice. tries to restart when i restart from wince and doesn't do anything. *but* i can press the menu button, and i can access my music, but no video or nav. gives me the nav screen warning and that's it ok button doesn't respond.
