Car speed signal input on 2005 Matrix

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping I can get a quick answer to this question as I'm looking to try and make my installation happen tomorrow.

I am installing the F90BT head unit. I have done a lot of investigation and homework as far as wiring etc. - but in looking over the harnesses and wiring I have here, only the "car speed signal" wire confuses me.

This is the pink wire and I must connect it to the Vehicle Injection computer. Is there another name for this computer? I can't seen to be able to locate it on my 2005 Toyota Matrix.

Also, I prefer to mount the GPS antenna on the dash. Are you guys getting a good strong signal?

Thanks,

Marc

Look for whats called a VSS wire. See the following link:

It may or may not help, just try to locate a wire with the same characterlistics (Violet/White) even if its in a different spot.

Also, you can put your GPS antenna on the dash, but be prepared for your altitude to be off by a few feet. This is my personal experience, others may disagree.
