spurs20fanster Posted November 19, 2008 Report Share Posted November 19, 2008 I uninstalled my AVIC-N3 from my car since I was going to install in my truck only to find out that when I hooked the power on (red, yellow, black wires to wiring harness) it wouldn't power on. I'm not sure if there is a security feature that prevents it from coming back on... Have checked the user guide and installation manual and it makes no mention anything like that. I have checked the fuse on the yellow wire.. everything good there. I hold the SRC button for a few seconds but no power comes on.. Don't know what happened it used to work fine before. Am I missing something? Is there an extra wire I need to hook up to 12V that I'm not aware of?? The first installation was done by a shop but now I'm just trying to do myself (I've done stereo installs before, just not on a high end unit like this...)
