DL771
All, I removed my Mute wire from the Pioneer harness in hopes to perform the hard wire hack. Well, long story short, I ended up breaking the metal end of the tip of the Mute wire. So now, the mute wire is no longer on the harness. Since I don't have any equipment that facilitates the Mute wire, is it safe to assume that running without the wire in the harness is okay? Thanks.
Bunk454
The unit will function as intended without the mute wire in place, but you will lose all the benefits of the bypass. *edit* I have not tried it myself, but this might be a good excuse for you to attempt the software bypass
DL771
Yeah, thanks to the instructions on this site, I'm well aware of the software bypass. Otherwise, I'd be outta luck But okay, thanks for confirming that for me!
