Help! Only certain butons are lit up in the menus

Just installed a new 90BT unit and when I try to set up all the settings I only have access to about half. I cannot access anything in the phone menu and only the av and audio settings in the main settings menu. I have tried the reboot, but nothing changes. Anyone else have this problem?

Check the handbrake connection, some functions are only available when the handbrake is applied. It's described in the manual.

 

Or you could just do the bypass, then you don't need to use the handbrake Info is in the hacks/mods forum.

The parking brake lead still needs to be grounded with both the hardware and software mods, so technically just saying he didn't apply the parking brake is all that is needed.

Thanks for all the help and cynicism. It was definitly user error. I was using the back up light wire to the parking break. Total "Brain Fart!"

Not trying to be a jerk, just wanted to save someone that reads this later the hassle or confusion that results from doing the hardware or (especially) the software mod only to find out that they still can't access certain screens.
