Carter
I installed a Z3 in July in a brand new car. The dealer tells me that the natural parasitic drain on this car is appx 10-12mA. However, after sitting for only four days, the battery didn't have enough CCA to turn over the engine. The dealer claims my Avic is pulling over 80 mA's and therefore is the problem. Q. My eight year old Jeep can hold a charge for over a week and start the engine which has the N3 installed. What is the mA current draw from the Z3? The specs don't show it, threads don't show it, and searches don't' reveal it. Or, can it be installed using the incorrect power wires? Thanks 'c'
CaptainInsaneO
I've seen a thread on this issue before. It's definitely not right, I leave my 4Runner sitting for three or four weeks with the battery connected and it starts right up.
rwerth7
If you have amps make sure they are wired to go off with the ignition off. Disconnect the HU and have the dealer put a guage on the battery. It should show that it is draining w/o the HU and therefore something else is causing the trouble. Good luck
