Pretty good deal on F900

Recommended Posts

Most of the Circuit City stores are closing.

So if you have one in your area and are contemplating the purchase of an f700 or 900, run to your nearest store.

I bought an F900BT for $400.00 and the sirius BUS interface for $22.00.

Warning to those who may not know, the BUS interface needs an extra wire that goes from the unit to your Sirius receiver that is sold separately.

Just thought I would share that piece of info.

By the way, where do you buy the wire for the sirius interface?

First of all "most" circuit city stores are not closing, 155 out of 700 something are.

As far as the pricing goes, im assuming a store close out deal or open box or demo unit. As far as the sirrius unit goes, I know the xm unit provides all required components, cables and antennas. Considering the xm/sirrius programming is nearly identical now, I would suggest xm instead. It's also a lot better interface.

Jesus christ!

Ive noticed that almost everyone on this message board is a Dick!

Just trying to share some info that might help out a few people looking for a good price.

No it wasnt a refurb or display model. It was brand new in the box.

I got the price because the store is closing and I got a good deal on the price as I stated earlier in the post.

As far as AZ is concerned, ALL the Circuit City stores are closing and from what Ive read the rest of the stores will follow.

So I'm sorry if you work for Circuit City and you think I got something wrong.

Im not sure what Sirius wire your talking about...Ive got Sirius too, with an Alpine HU, just bought the 900bt for 780 off crutchfield and I thought that was a smokin deal other than online retailers...my Circuit City allready got all bought out of stuff for the most part.

This is the stuff you need as far as i know...

This part is Pioneer Specific

^ +1...i thought about going on Ebay or an online retailer, but i went with Crutchfiled since there was a smokin deal from a ligit dealer and if i have problems i can go back to a person and not a machine. but after i bought the 900 i realized i wasnt getting the Ipod cable thati would have with the 90bt...damn

Well if you allready have the CB10, then I would just get the other piece i was tellin you about, so you can see all the info on the HU rather than the Staleto.

This was alll i found at Crutchfield...again just looking there since I figured they would have all the diffrent cables and crap you would need and it was easy to look up. Im not sure of any cable that connects the two, Even more so that the CB10 is a piece that connects a Pioneer HU to Sirius, not a Sirius piece with Sirius

(re-reading i gues you allready have the dock...hmm)

I have the vehicle dock kit.

I was thinking that there was a wire that went from the bus unit to my existing dock.

I think the only way I can use my stiletto is to buy the universal dock that goes to the bus interface.

But if I get that, I loose a lot of the features that I have on the unit like game alerts, song alerts and the ability to play stored mp3's.

Maybe Ill just use the FM modulator.

Thanks for your help.

does everything you ask, but its expensive and is still the CD-SB10....what you can do is call Pioneer and order just the cable you need. I did that through Alpine (though they sent me the wrong wire harnes...so make sure you ask for the right thing) and you can get it hooked up. It talks about in the description all the things you wanted

or i think this...

FWIW, the OP is right. Just stopped by one of the local CCs closing in the Chicago metro area and it's like a friggin' estate sale in there (everything, including the shelving, has a sale tag on it), no bargaining, just tremendous markdowns. They didn't have any F900s left, but one of the guys I asked said the couple they had were sold in the $400 range (which would be about right for a 40-60% off inventory liquidation sale).

[insert me kicking myself in head]

The first link you put up is the unit I bought from Circuit City. But I only paid $22.00 for it.

The second link is the unit I stated earlier would work, but I will lose some of the Stiletto's functions.

I really appreciate you taking the time to help though.

I wish there were more A/V inputs on the HU so that I could just hard wire it straight to the HU.

Right now the A/V plugs are occupied by the Iphone/ Ipod cable.
