treo650
Will an N1 unit work with the IB100 Ipod Adapter? ...everywhere I reads, it states N2 and up. DO any of you guys recommend it? any info appreciated.
treo650
also.... whats the difference between an IB100 and a IB100II?
madmanfrommars
Yes it will work with the N1. And the difference between the IB100 and IB100II is that if you have the N3, the IB100II will have added features like displaying the album cover. If you have an N1 though, it will make no difference, so go for the IB100 cause you'll probably get it for cheaper.
treo650
what controls are available on the N1 with the ipod adapter? (back, forward, next, skip, ff, etc?) And, it is to my understanding that i must use the hard buttons, rather than touchscreen? thanks.
madmanfrommars
You'd have to use the basic controls, yeah. If you look on ebay you can find auctions that detail how to set it up so that you can use the actual ipod controls instead of the ones on the unit. Thats probably the best thing you can do. The IB100 and IB100II only differs in the color of the exterior and IB100 has an Apple approved dock connector (2-cables) while the IB100II has a generic connector and a single cable. IB100II also has lower MSRP. IB100II has no added functional benefits or enhancements over the IB100.
madmanfrommars
Yes it does. No not the album covers, thats my mistake, but it allows you to have more control of the ipod with the touchscreen on the N3. Go look on pioneer's site if you want. And yeah I didn't think color made a difference to anybody... And even if the ib100II has a lower MSRP, I was referring to the fact that you can buy the IB100 from ebay or something for cheaper then an IB100II Edit: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... %20CONTROL There you go. whtcrxghst
Actually, GnatGoSplat is correct. They are EXACTLY the same except for the cable is thicker, the connector is more reliable, and its black instead of silver. It doesn't function any differently. You are misunderstanding what pioneer is showing on their site. They added the Enhanced Ipod Display to the N3 as compared to the shitty functionality with the N2 and N1. The ipod adaptor itself had nothing to do with that improvement GnatGoSplat 1, You 0
Yes it does. Interceptor
I have seen this auction before. I have a video ipod that I use with my avic. The cable goes into the headphone jack and has rca's on the other end and it plays the video thru the headphone jack which is pretty cool. This guy claims that his cable will charge the ipod , but I dont see how. It has no power cord. The cord I got was cheap, you can get it at radio shack under 20 bucks. whtcrxghst
Will what work? The Pioneer ipod adaptor and the N1 itself? Of course. If you are referring to the video ipod connection, it will work through the A/V input on your deck
Will all this work if I have an N1 head unit and a N3 brain?
