irkgreen
Very often i find myself accidentally clicking somewhere on the map of my f700 and it places a weird red target. From then on the 3D view doesn't seem to follow my point of view. It is usually just stuck so that the red target is in view. I dont know how to remove this target reliably. Sometimes (i stress this word) i can click the compass to pull up the 3D view perspective changer and then dismiss it and that works. Other times by going to the route menu and returning it fixes. I've also tried going to 2D and back to 3D and that sometimes works. None of these are guaranteed or very consistent. Any idea what is happening?
BorisM
You're putting a marker on the map, and that's exactly what it is showing you -- the location of the marker. I'm quite sure it is in the manual, too... Hit the MAP button to return to the normal navigation screen.
terron
the marker thing is annoying; like Boris said, just re-tap "Map" and it'll put you back on track
irkgreen
I don't know how i missed it if it is in the manual. Re-tap the map? I thought Boris was referring to the physical map button to the right of the screen. I hadn't thought to try the map button, but i have tried all of the icons on the display with unreliable results. BorisM
Yes, it is the physical MAP button, since it forces return to normal navigation state. You can get it through screen taps, but map is easier...
irkgreen
Ah. Thanks. And of course by "right" i meant "left" D'oh!
