coilz
Hi i just installed a new toshiba harddrive that was purchased off of ebay with the new z3 software already on it.. its says 2008 version when starting up, and i got these number from the options menu. CDDB version: 07-01-0030 Version: 03.0000 Device number: 0C9AD4BD30BC287B Just wondering if i actually have the new software or if i got scammed? I was hoping to see some cool 3d stuff lol
garrettoomey
The CDDB (Gracenotes) is outdated, but the version number looks correct.
coilz
Thanks Garret for the reply...is there any differences between the newer cddb and mine? I was hoping to see some 3d buildings etc on my nav screen, like on your profile pic..but i havent seen any yet. What do they come up as? which buildings? Thanks Greg
garrettoomey
First you have to turn on 3d buildings in the nav settings. Second, you need to be in a location that has 3d buildings in the database. Third, you need to be at a zoom level that is close enough to show the buildings. The newer CDDB database has the newer CD titles when you rip to the hard drive.
garrettoomey
Also, if you use XM sat radio, then you probably do not have the icon patch installed for the new sirius/xm lineup.
supermixer
is there an icon patch you can download so show the icons on xm radio? or can you not do that just yet due to the sirus/xm merger?
garrettoomey
If your drive is unlocked, you can fix the xm icon issue thanks to the hard work from forum member Vandal. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19631 My preconfigured drives that were shipped after Dec 1st 2008 have the patch preinstalled (with Vandal's permission of course).
