I feel certain I have properly recorded the update and I get "reading disk" followed by "inserted CD-ROM". I get no further instuctions. Any help? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

A1cntrler Posted September 30, 2006 Report Share Posted September 30, 2006 Even if you update the gracenote, it will likey not find the CD's you are trying to get it to recognize. I had several CD's (even ones that were over 3 years old i.e. Blues Traveler: Four) that it did not recognize even after the update and searching the database for the new info. Check this link for info on how to work around this problem. This way will also keep you from having to update the AVIC inadvertently, say if Pioneer slips in an update that would defeat the Ducati Boy bypass in with a CDDB update. I really would not expect too many updates on the database. It would be so much better if you could get the updates yourself via a link on the CDDB website that was more frequently updated by the CDDB persons. The way it is now, the CDDB people send the updates to Pioneer, and then they have to encode it into thier format to be installedn the Z1.
