blackbimmer
I'm at the Acronis restore step and I have drives D thru G on the disk to restore to - all are labeled "DONT_DEL015". Sizes are 17.52GB, 572.8MB, 9.308GB, and 572.8MB respectively - where do I restore the .tib files too??
blackbimmer
ok - well found that my problem is probably bigger - I was able to unlock the drive and it shows unlocked - but windows sees it as all unallocated space!!! Acronis shows all unallocated disk 1 of 30 GB when I try to restore the Z3 image to it!!! what the #*#*@?? I just pulled this drive from my Z2 and it was working fine - followed the Z2 to Z3 instructions to a tee and when I got to the Acronis backup/restore step, nadda!!!! Anyone - please help!!! blackbimmer
So I'm guessing I'm having to basically start with a fresh drive. So I initilized it via windows and used Acronis to restore the images and had it create the partitions - based on Garret's PDF how-to restore and save music/address book...is this correct? garrettoomey
Since you unlocked the drive, it sounds like you used the $5 option... This would have wiped the drive completely. You now only need to select restore, choose the .tib file, select ALL partitions, select the 30gb drive, select default options, proceed. When it complete, you will have a Z3 drive. Be sure to disable the security on the drive so that the Z does not relock it.
