I get to the point where i modify the correct file but i cannot upload it to the hu. would some one please walk me through this process step by step so i can get this done? rchapoteau Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 Get the testmode zip file and extract it. you will have 2 folders. Copy your data.zip and those 2 folders to to the root of your SD card Place the SD card into the unit and give the car power (do not crank the engine) This should boot you into Windows CE mode. X out of the initial blue screen that you get into (the x will be very tiny in the upper right hand corner). Go into My Devices, and then your SD card. You will have to do a File -> Edit -> Copy of the Data.zip file. Copy Data.zip into the correct path of the dat.zip in CE ( I don't remmber the exact point but if you look around enough you can figure it out. I believe its called flash card) You will overwrite your current data.zip on the flash. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I am helplessly searching for the specific location of where to paste the modded data.zip files on my headunit. Ive been looking around CE but cant find a place.
