Maybe everyone else knew this, but it was a shock when I stuck an, ahem, backup CD in to play and the AVIC started ripping it! Hadn't seen that mentioned. Great! RoadReady Posted January 21, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 21, 2009 Yep, Garrett, had nothing to do with it ripping CD-Rs because of the "Serial Copy Management System" which prevents tranferring second-generation copies..... manual, page 112. If you copied them with an audio-only CD copier, then you DO have problems with SCMS. I didn't know anyone still used those, I remember them from the late 90's, but I thought everybody used their computer to copy CDs these days. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
