WHOneedsSOX
sorry if this sounds rather noobish but i dont really have any idea when it comes to cars. i am currently interested in buying a navigation for my 2008 scion tc and i cant decide which to get. would you guys recommend the d3 of the f90 (if i can get either for the same price)? and also, if i were to get one of these navigation units, would i have to buy additional wires (link please)? and also i think i need to buy brackets in order for it to fit snug? one more question, would i really need the ipod adapter if my car comes with one already? CamelTowing
If you use an ipod, the F90. If not, the D3. And yes, you will need additional parts
MegaMan X
You'll need this: Scion tC In-dash Receiver Kit http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SCN2059 ... ml?tp=3121 Receiver Wire Harness http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120701761/ ... ml?tp=2977 Pioneer CD-IU230V http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130CDIU230 ... tml?tp=120 If you are buying the Avic-F90, it will have the iPod cable included already in its price. WHOneedsSOX
thanks megaman but will that kit really fit? i was looking at http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120958202/ ... ml?tp=3121 will that work with the f90?
tjc005
i would use that kit you found. i just did an '06 tC last week and the brackets for the factory radio fit just fine. all you need is those two spacers on the side to fill the gaps. the other kit is for a single din stereo, but could be cut to fit if you were in a pinch. 07bspTC
Depends on if you want it to fit behind the cover. If you want it flush and to remove the door then use the 1st ne. If you want it to sit behind the cover then use the 2nd and drill the indentations in the factory bracket to move it back so the door will close.
memsu
My D3 got stolen, so I'm replacing it with a F90T. If I still had my D3 I wouldn't buy the F90T just to upgrade to a newer unit. I kinda want to wait to see what Pioneer will come out with this year.
