  1. Could you define "started for awhile"? I am on the fence on buying a reverse image backup camera for my F90BT, and I've read a few users in these forums reporting that there cameras come on after a few seconds after starting their car. Which camera are you using with yours? The Kenwood DNX7120 is a couple hundred dollars more than the F90BT, and that's without the Bluetooth add-on module and KCA-iP300 iPod cable. And there's no voice control. Is it really a fair comparison? That said I would totally prefer the Garmin navigation solution - that's very cool. Started for awhile
  2. With the D3 music started up almost as soon as the unit came on. Backup camera came up as soon as I put the car in reverse. Navigation function was up in about 15sec or less. This is how a navigation system is supposed to work. On my F90BT my backup camera is useless unless the car has be started for awhile. Music starts about 20-30 sec after starting the vehicle. Navigation about 45 sec. I'm not even going to talk about the other issues with this unit, but I'll just say the D3 is a much more polished system than the F90BT. I'm selling my F90BT after my Kenwood DNX7120 arrives. At
  3. My F90BT does the exact same thing. I finally got tired of all the issues the F-Series have. I used to have a Avic D3 before it was stolen. I loved that unit because IT WORKED. I just purchased a Kenwood DNX7120 for $725. 6.95" screen Uses Garmin navigation Maps can be updated using the SD card slot and Garmin mapsource software. You can even load topo maps in addition to the city select maps.
  4. 1.5 months later finally some resolution to all this. FedEx finally got their head out of their ass and came to inspect the package. It only took them a month to get around to doing that. Oh, and they came for an inspection and didn't even give me a call. I was able to reschedule leave the package at the private post office for them to inspect it there. FedEx insurance will cover the loss. That check is being sent to the shipper and then the shipper will reimburse me over paypal.
  5. I'll dump my F90BT that was my replacement for my D3 that got stolen for a new model that actually works somewhat right. I can't stand the unresponsiveness of this unit and the no track up on 2D mode along with various other issues. I actually hated the F series so much I bought a D3 on ebay, but some FedEx employee stole that unit during shipment. So, looks like I'm gonna be dealing with my F90BT for awhile. Give me the navigation features of the D3 with the graphics of the F90BT, and make the dang thing work faster, and Pioneer will have a winner.
  6. 100% feedback with 71 ratings, both as a seller and as a buyer. The seller has been in contact with me and said he would help out. I'm still waiting on FedEx to do something. I'm going to call them and check on the status.
  7. When I talked to FedEx they didn't seem to have a problem with it being signed in by the private post office. I took pictures of the package right after I received it. So, hopefully they will take care of it.
  8. Paid with credit card through pay pal. I have my packages shipped to a private post office, because I travel out of town a lot. They signed for the package. I'm going to wait and see what FedEx does before filing for a stop payment through my credit card.
  9. So, I purchased a Avic D3 on ebay from a seller with a 100% rating. It came with the bluetooth adapter, new 2008 map disks, ipod cable, and the remote. I was the winning bidder at $610. Anyway, I received the package and immediately knew something wasn't right, because the box didn't weigh anything. It looked like the box had been opened and re-taped. Upon opening the package the only things in there were the empty boxes for all the equipment. Looking at the tracking information it list the weight as 12 lbs. So, I'm pretty sure the seller did ship the items and the items were taken while b
  10. I used the remote from my old pioneer radio with my D3 till some low life took it and the remote. I really wish I could use a remote with the F90BT.
  11. I have a 08 Nissan Titan and the procedure listed above is correct. I've had to do it many times.
  12. The AVIC-D3 has been tossed in the trash! I now have a AVIC-F90BT. The unit does not need any more of those f-ing disks. I can update the system via SD card now. I'm going back to the D3. I've had a F90BT for 2 weeks and can't stand the boot up times. The back up camera is useless, because it takes so long for it to come up. The D3 is a more polished navigation/audio system than the F-series in my opionion.
  13. Yes, that was one area where the D3 wasn't that great. However, try doing a POI search on the F-series units. The D3 has them beat hands down.
  14. There was a setting that you could change to where the music wouldn't mute when the navigation lady spoke. No way. Please elaborate as to where I can find this setting. Check out page 144 of the 90BT manual. It does work. When I get directions the song can still be heard under the guidance voice. The setting attenuates the music but does not mute it. Didn't try it with Samatha though (just too irritating listenting to her). Awesome, 1 down and 11 more to go
  15. What new models will Pioneer release this year? Do they plan on addressing the issues of the F-series units?
