Melfsterr
Does any one know if there is some kind of battery backup that comes with a N1 or maybe purchase a battery backup to keep all those crazy settings stored if there is a power loss. I've had my battery disconnected several times for work performed on 2003 Dakota truck and every time I have to go through a million settings to restore them to my taste. Sometimes i think i'm off on some audio settings because i cant remember them all, does everyone out there have to go through all these settings on a power loss or am I the only one! let me know...Thanks
CatchMeIfYouCan631
It's normal to lose your settings when you disconnect the battery or if it goes dead. That's the point of the Constant wire, to keep your settings when the car is off. Your best bet would be to write down all your settings so you know exactly what they are when they have to be changed.
Melfsterr
Thanks for the fast reply. I actually started to write them down this morning, when i got about a 1/4 of the way on writing them down i stopped. Figured there's got to be a better way than this. i guess there isn't. I 'll go back and continue to write them down. WOW, a lot of money for high end unit and no battery backup! Did they forget that part at Pioneer? No one out there figure out a jury rig battery back for this? Anyway, thanks again for your response "CatchmeIfYouCan631"..
