Luke
Ok, I got everything installed,(parking brake override)and everything seems to be working correctly on the unit. My parking brake notification on my vehicle's display will not go off, causing an annoying chime to go off. Is it normal for vehicles to display the parking brake being on even though it isn't? tillithz
no, not normal. what do you mean "parking break override"? sounds like your grounding the parking break.
cntrylvr79
Is the parking brake hooked up to the vehicle AND grounded as well? If that's the case, then that's why your truck is saying the parking brake is on even if it's off. Just disconnect the parking brake wire from the vehicle's wire and you should be fine. cntrylvr79
Reverse Light black/pink + back of fuse box, black 8 pin plug That's Black with a pink stripe. You can also find it at the switch for the reverse sensors in the dash if your truck came with that.

cntrylvr79
If you can't find it where I said in the other post, grab a meter and look in either the drivers or passengers kick panel. If you pull those out you'll see wires that run to the back of the truck. Should be the same color. The wire will show +12 volts when you put the truck into reverse.
