PaisanNYC Posted October 6, 2006 Report Share Posted October 6, 2006 Sounds like you connected the power wire to the reverse lights. If you did, the camera would only get power when the reverse lights are on (when you have the vehicle shifted in reverse). Check the power lead. You may have to run a line from the front of the vehicle if you do not have a suitable connection in the rear. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
sportsfan21 Posted October 6, 2006 Report Share Posted October 6, 2006 It sounds like you got the power for the camera from the reverse wire lights wire. That wire will only have 12V+ and the camera will only have power when you are in reverse. You can still leave the ground in the rear of the car, but you need to find a wire that gets 12V+ when the car is on or in ACC. You can tap off of the ACC wire that goes to the D2 or you can find one in the rear of the car. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
