It flips up on top of the dash and slightly obstructs the driver's view. IMO putting the Avic in is not only better for media use, but also safer. Back on topic, OP Nice install. The only thing that I would do is swap the unit out for a 700 series because the plastic is more of a flat color... And it just so happens that I could swap units with you!
