Joey Bond
Hey guys I finally bought my Z3 and also got the bluetooth adaptor and reverse camera for it. Just wondering what else I can do with this unit maybe upgrading the size of the harddrive etc... I see people upgrading from a Z2 to Z3 with a bigger harddrive so I am wondering if I can do it straight up with the Z3 and if so how do I do it and will it void out the warranty? Any other tips are appreciated Thanks
garrettoomey
Yes, it technically would void your warranty. If you put the old drive back in before sending it for repair you would be fine. Follow the same instructions as the Z2 to Z3 upgrade, or order a preconfigured drive. If you go with a larger drive, be sure it is a Toshiba 5400 rpm drive so that you get the speed benefits as well. It is a good upgrade, as you will end up with an unlocked drive for future updates, and will not have to lose your music library and address book.
