analon Posted March 10, 2009 Report Share Posted March 10, 2009 I have been using the f500bt for a few weeks, but since the last couple of days have been having an issue with the re-routing. I drive quite a bit and sometimes take shortcuts for roads that I know, but are not suggested by the Avic. Everytime I do this, the unit announces "Offroad" but makes no attempt to recalculate the route. As soon as I am back on the suggsted path after my shortcuts the unit resumes guiding me from there. Anyone faced this issue and know of any fixes for this Quote Link to post Share on other sites
paQ Posted March 10, 2009 Report Share Posted March 10, 2009 I've had this with my avic last week. No recalculation. I always needed to delete the route and then put it back in again. After a total reboot all was fine again. Have you tried to unplug and take out the battery for a while and the reboot? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
analon Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 10, 2009 That worked!!! I hit the reset button a couple of times but the unit kept doing the same. Then I pulled the battery out as suggested and presto...all is well with the re-routing.
