TripNBeats
I have the Z1 and I downloaded the Z3 image aabout a year ago.... i was wondering if the image i have is no good or is there an image i can find somewhere thats usable and trustworthy and id like to know which partition to extend to be able to get more music saved onto the drive I have a seagate or WD 160gb drive i wanna use thats unlocked and formatted.....would i be needing anything else?...oh and i have acronis as well. Thanks for the help!!
garrettoomey
The image is still good if you downloaded it from Torrent, FTP, or HTTP. If you downloaded from MegaDownload, then you have a corrupt image. The partition to expand for music is the 3rd partition called MSV. Do not expand the music parition larger than 40gb or you may have random reboots. Your Seagate and WD drives will cause random reboots, and you will not be happy. Only Toshiba PATA drives are compatible with the Z. The most recommend drive is the Toshiba MK6034GAX 60gb or MK4032GAX 40gb.
