Builder
My ML 320 has a lead going to the OEM headunit called "Backup lamps reverse NAV". Would this be the correct lead to connect to the the D2 Voilet/white (reverseg ear signal input): Also the OEM head unit has a lead called ESP/ETS/BAS control module, speed dependant volume, VSS Nav. Would this be the correct lead to connect to the D2 pink(Car Speed Input)? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

To double check, take a mulitmeter thats on DC volts and check what the voltage is when the car is in park or drive and what it is in when the car is in reverse. When the car is in reverse it should jump up to somewhere around 12V and when its not it should be 0 volts. [quote]Would this be the correct lead to connect to the D2 pink(Car Speed Input)? Builder
thanks for information. Why does the nav unit care if the car is in reverse?
sportsfan21
I've heard it helps with navigation, but its necessary if you have a rear view camera hooked up. The D2 will know when to switch the unit into reverse camera mode when you change into Reverse.
